So, maybe some of you have wondered where this came from or maybe not. But I know when I go to other people’s blogs with various (seemingly random) names, I’m curious as to its origin.

Not coming down is from a song by Bush called “Come Down”. The actual lyrics to this part are “I don’t wanna’ come back down from this cloud, it’s taken me all this time to find out what I need, yeah”. If you listen to the rest of the song, it may seem on the dark side as it talks briefly about getting high and being cut down by a love. But this is really a perfect example of how each one of us is with God. We try to fill our pain and holes with addictions or people, and we never want to come down from the cloud.

So, in a nutshell, notcomingdown simply means that I’ve found the one “drug” or “high” (if you will) that I’m not coming down from.
